Throwing Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal participants into random, listless television matches with zero consequences does not constitute an effective build. It's good that performers like Tye Dillinger are getting airtime, but these bouts reek, and serve as no more than an opportunity for a pee break.

Last night's saw Dillinger, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, and Zack Ryder face Dolph Ziggler, Mojo Rawley, Baron Corbin, and Primo Colon (who hasn't been seen on SmackDown since June 2017). Technically, it was fine. A perfectly solid five-minuter, there were few flaws, but it's impossible to consider such obvious filler an Up.

Corbin scored the victory, first throwing Breeze onto a pile of meat shields outside the ring, before putting Fandango away with the End Of Days. A former Andre winner, this was likely done to install him as one of the favourites, but given the lack of care and attention afforded the battle royal victors after their win, why even bother?
