4. Another Bloodline Twist
Just when fans thought that the Bloodline saga was done and dusted, WWE found another way to pump some life into it.
During the United States Championship four-way match, Solo Sikoa inserted himself into the situation by saving Jacob Fatu from LA Knight, drawing the Megastar straight into an attack from Jeff Cobb, who proceeded to demolish Knight outside the ring. This allowed Fatu to pick the bones and finish Knight off with a hip attack and moonsault and retain his US title.
Cobb joining Solo’s version of the Bloodline is a nice little twist, with Fatu saying he didn’t want help but getting it nonetheless. With both Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa on the shelf, Sikoa was going to need some backup for when Jacob eventually turns on him, and Cobb provides that muscle. In the short term, a trio of Solo, Cobb and Fatu is a pretty intimidating group.
Cobb looked good here in his WWE debut, and he now has a ready-made feud with Knight and is associated with one of the company’s biggest rising stars in Fatu. That’s not a bad first night on the job.
