4 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Aug 11)

2. Karrion Kross Needs Help

No, he really needs help.

Kross spoke about AJ Styles showing him the value of brotherhood before staring at the lights for the veteran in the latest chapter of their mediocre rivalry, and he vowed to debut some disciples soon. It looks like Karrion is getting some backup then, but there's just one problem.

He's been booked to look like a loser who can't get the job done, which clashes with the strong leadership example he's mouthing off about during promos. If Kross can't score many wins in the first place, then why would other wrestlers be willing to follow his lead? That doesn't make any sense.

The match between both men wasn't exactly bad, but their story has been bland and uninspiring. It hasn't done much of anything for Styles, hasn't done a good job incorporating the rest of The OC, has barely involved Scarlett and Kross is still losing.
