WWE taped two episodes of SmackDown on Friday night due to their upcoming jaunt over to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel. That meant fans in St. Louis got more bang for their buck live, but it typically means the company spreads approx two hours of cracking, must-see content over four.

Last night's show was proof of that.

Don't be fooled into thinking the equal share between 'Ups' and 'Downs' means this was a bad show though. As Kofi Kingston might say, "Ooooooooh noooooo". There was enough here to keep peeps entertained and several stories were motored forwards with fun, engaging segments.

The Bloodline remains the best thing in pro wrestling right now, Ronda Rousey has a new MMA buddy (and possible tag-team partner), and Karrion Kross looked like a legit star. The downsides? Well, negatives came in the form of a re-debut that fell flat with the live crowd, some tired booking in the tag division and...Bray Wyatt's promo.

No, this writer wasn't expecting that to be a 'Down' before sitting down to watch Smackers either, but WWE must be careful they don't try to drip-feed his return tale with nothingness rather than script memorable story beats that progress it.

Here's all the good and bad.
