4 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dark (July 7)

1. Big Swole vs. Rache Chanel

Big Swole jobber
AEW

This was the definition of an ineffective squash as Rache Chanel looked woefully out of her depth against the promising Big Swole, dragging the AEW up-and-comer down to the extent that she got no tangible rub from winning.

Chanel walked out apeing Jinny's old fashionista bit as the announcers implied she cared more for the catwalk than the ring. An entirely unconvincing performance followed. Swole tried, but Chanel was too slow, sloppy, and stodgy to carry. The jobber's control sequences saw her sit in holds while barely advancing position and she didn't even look convincing when executing simple moves like a snapmare, with Swole having to correct Rache's own course on an Irish Whip at one point, visibly turning and darting to the corner when her foe erroneously sent her to the ropes. A plodding, botchy mess.

A pump kick and cocky pin scored Swole's victory. Afterwards, she hopped out of the ring and chased Britt Baker away, continuing their feud.
