4 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage (May 20)

2. That Post-Match Brawl

Anna Jay Jade Cargill Crutch
AEW

Most wrestling fans will have heard the famous story of Vince McMahon telling Randy Savage and Ric Flair to re-shoot a match he wasn't happy with in the old WWF days. That's what somebody backstage at Rampage should've done with the post-match brawl after Red Velvet vs. Kris Statlander.

Good lord, that was bad.

Ruby Soho's punches on Velvet and Keira Hogan were weak, then Anna Jay whiffed on hitting Jade Cargill with Mark Sterling's crutch even though she was right there. Even Chris Jericho yelled out, "Hit her! Hit her! Hit her!" from behind the commentary desk.

It made no sense that Jay didn't plant that crutch on Jade; if she wasn't quick enough to get to safety, then that's on the heel, and it's not like a weapon hitting the ropes/Cargill's back would be unprofessional from Anna.

Yeah, this all looked awful.
