4 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night’s WWE Backstage (Nov 13)

2. Mild Schadenfreude Amusement

Backstage Adam Cole
FS1

Adam Cole is always lovely to look at, and listen to, and his tale of his whirlwind week on the main roster yielded a wry laugh.

He spoke of an hour deadline with 56 minutes to reach, and general, total confusion, chaos and disarray backstage as SmackDown, in the wake of the Saudi Arabia Plane Ride From Purgatory, scrambled to put a show together at the eleventh hour.

“Welcome to SmackDown!” Paige said in response, which, lol. She framed Cole’s wild, defining week as something completely mundane. “It’s like this every week, guy! They rewrite the script about 54 times, can’t you tell? Nothing makes sense!”

Cole also credited Daniel Bryan solely for the success of their physical, cerebral, last-minute firecracker. Handsome and modest?

What a man. What an uninteresting show. But what a man.
