4. Oba Femi Obliterates Kit Wilson

Let it be known that Oba Femi is TOXIC.

Oh yes, Kit Wilson's promo about toxic masculinity in the Royal Rumble was good clean fun, and Wade Barrett’s commentary only added to it. Then, a true alpha character walked down the aisle and destroyed Kit in less than a minute. This squash was exactly what it needed to be. Nah, you can’t get a lot of mileage out of these things, because fans want to see more after a while, but sometimes this is all you need from workers with brute force like Oba.

Joe Tessitore: “That’s just a red blooded ruler”. WWE might get some flak for these characters on social media, but they’ll take the attention whichever way they get it and deal with the fallout by either doubling down or backing off. Regardless, Kit will be pleased that fans chanted along with his cries of “TOXIC”, and he’s playing it just cute enough to get the right response to this piece of soft social commentary.

An absolute walking tank like Femi was always going to run through someone like Wilson at some stage. It wouldn't even be all that surprising if this was a spot from the men's Rumble that was left on the cutting room floor. Apparently, La Parka was more of a pressing concern due to the AAA connections. Sod that, having Kit out there in Saudi Arabia would've been pretty deadly.

Afterwards, Oba looked like a million bucks and Wilson immediately bitched in the face of Matt Cardona (and Apollo Crews, somewhat weirdly). So, there are places to go with everyone involved here. Good work.
