4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 21)

3. Double Downside

Braun Strowman Ricochet

Look, this writer has championed Braun Strowman and Ricochet as a team since they formed, but he's also really worried about some things here. Firstly, this (as feared) was indeed another false dawn for The Viking Raiders. WWE point blank refuses to give them any sustainable momentum.

Second, Braun and Rico winning here then yakking about title shots to WWE's YouTube channel afterwards likely means The Usos are getting those Undisputed Tag belts back after all. Maybe that's an illogical fear and someone looking into things a little too much, but the fear is still there and won't go away.

Braun and Ricochet challenging The Usos sounds more like something WWE would do than Braun and Rico vs. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens; that'd be babyface vs. babyface in a company that prefers strict "good vs. bad" dynamics. That's especially true when the reigning champs are so popular.

The Raiders winning might've put some minds at ease.
