3. The SummerSlam Gimmick Change

Don't try to fix what ain't broken.

'Hair vs. Hair' made sense in the context of Sonya Deville's feud with Mandy Rose. Sonya has harped on about Mandy's looks for months now, and wanted to embarrass her at SummerSlam by stripping away the only thing she perceives makes Rose relevant.

WWE changed their pay-per-view clash to a 'No DQ Loser Leaves WWE' stip on SmackDown, and it felt a bit random. It also didn't feel right that Mandy, one week after firing out the 'Hair vs. Hair' challenge, suddenly decided she'd rather let bygones be bygones and be friends with Sonya again. Huh?

Deville did her best to explain the gimmick switch, but it was all a bit half-arsed from the creative team here. To be fair to both these women, they'll still knock it out of the park and be able to brawl come SummerSlam. The actual match will still be fun, and maybe that's the most important thing.
