4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Aug 6)

Downs...

5. The Wrong Way Round

Jey Uso Dominik Mysterio

Erm...this is a bit late, guys.

Surely Dominik Mysterio's inexperience should've been the story before the Mysterio clan won those SmackDown Tag-Team Titles? They've already been champs, so this story thread feels a little late in the day. It's decent - just too late to land as hard as WWE wants.

Also, what was up with the heelish vibes between father and son backstage? If WWE are even considering turning Dom heel, then they need a slap. It's waaaaaaay too early for that. Seriously. The lad has only been working in front of live crowds for a few weeks, and his tag with Rey has so much more to offer.

It's almost like WWE are keen to destroy every babyface tag-team on Friday nights. Rey and Dom are one of only two face duos on the brand, meaning their importance to the division shouldn't be overlooked. This booking is all rather backwards.
