4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 9)

4. A Rough Main Event

Kevin Owens vs. The 'Fiend' felt like a feud totally out of left field when WWE started it several weeks ago, and that hadn't changed by the time their blow off on SmackDown occurred. Poor timing was just the start - brand exclusivity should matter around the time of the Draft, but KO and Bray Wyatt have been swapping shows willy nilly.

To top it all off, their match on Friday was barely relevant as a main event. They tried hard, of course (both men always do), but there seemed to be some communication issues the deeper they got into the match. At one point, KO and Wyatt flubbed a Pop-Up Powerbomb spot onto the announce table.

That botch should've been cut from the final broadcast.

If this helps put Alexa Bliss by Wyatt's side for good, then fine. However, WWE should know that mini-feuds like this help exactly no-one, especially when they're asking people to believe in some ironclad contracts that tie wrestlers down to a specific show.
