4 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (July 19)
2. Turning The Women’s Division Into A Joke
What else can you say about a segment that put basically the entire Raw women’s division that wasn’t involved in the opening match into a six-woman tag match that became a 24/7 Championship schmozz?
The “match” barely got 30 seconds in when Dana Brooke got rolled up by Akira Tozawa. He was quickly laid out and pinned by Nikki ASH, who was pinned by Alexa Bliss, who was pinned by Doudrop, who was pinned by Tamina, who was pinned by Brooke. *sigh*
And then the match actually continued, because Asuka – the only woman in the match who didn’t win the 24/7 title – was legal. She quickly cinched in the Asuka Lock to make Nikki tap out, and that was that.
But holy hell, what an absolute joke. You just had two former women’s champions rolling around trying to win a title that Becky Lynch already has said is worthless. Just a total waste.
