4 Ups & 7 Downs From NXT Spring Breakin'

1. The Feud Must Continue

Joe Gacy: world title contender and cult leader. That isn’t exactly a phrase that makes sense, and now Bron Breakker, NXT’s once can’t-miss prospect and champion, is inexplicably tied to him even longer.

Tuesday’s NXT Championship match could have represented a clean break, a clear and decisive victory to end this embarrassing feud that only served to drag Breakker down. And Bron did pick up that clean and clear win. But then Gacy and his druids would attack Breakker and carry him off, indicating that the feud isn’t over yet.

And so Gacy, who more and more is aping Bray Wyatt’s act (he hung upside down in the corner during their match Tuesday) will continue to be in Breakker’s orbit, with none of this having any hope of elevating the champ, or making Gacy more notable.

Just awful stuff that could have been tied up neatly and instead will drag on, apparently.
