4 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Hell In A Cell 2020

3. Grade-A Trash-Talk

Roman Reigns Jey Uso

Typically during a match, if you hear the wrestlers talking to each other, it’s usually a bad sign that they’re calling spots loudly. That wasn’t the case Sunday night.

It really can’t be said enough how unreal the dialogue between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso was. The two jawed at each other constantly, with Reigns really laying in the badmouth at various points. Reigns lamented that Uso made him look like the bad guy for the beating he gave Jey. He threated to end his cousin, stole the leather strap and told him he does the whipping, and continuously urged him to quit to end the pain.

But Roman was at his best toward the end when he choked Jey out and was in complete control, telling Uso to wake up and say “I quit,” then warned that if he didn’t, Reigns couldn’t “be held responsible” for what happened.

It was quality trash-talk that added to the match in a way you wouldn’t expect. Just a fantastic depth to this already personal rivalry.
