4 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (March 21)

4. The Largest Lost Lamb Ever

Omos Apollo Crews Commander Azeez

It’s so disheartening to watch Omos stumble around the ring at times. Given his size and presence, if he was even half-decent, he should be a massive star that passes the “airport test.”

Instead, he’s so clumsy and unimpressive that fans barely react to him. Monday, the Colossus faced Commander Azeez and Apollo Crews in a handicap match after being the two in singles bouts the previous two weeks. He easily toppled them, but he really seemed to struggle to get into proper position at times, with Crews having to get his attention to be in the right spot for a crossbody attempt.

Even the pin was royally screwed up, as Azeez had to lie on the mat for a full minute while Omos lectured Crews, hit a Tree Slam, and then dragged him slowly over to the Commander. And then, Omos couldn’t do a stacked pin properly, with Azeez’s (the legal man) shoulder up, so the ref couldn’t count for a good 10 seconds until they repositioned.

A match like this theoretically should make Omos look like a killer. All he has to do is hit his marks while two guys bounce off him like ping-pong balls. Instead, he stumbled around like a baby farm animal, which just took you out of the moment.
