4. Just In Time For Survivor Series

Oh goodie! The bickering Raw and SmackDown GMs trope is back.

In case fans were bored and thought that what WWE programming needed was figureheads arguing, sniping and tampering with talent, then they were in luck Monday night.

SmackDown GM Nick Aldis showed up on Raw after kicking red brand GM Adam Pearce out of the arena Friday night, leading to “tension” between the two. Aldis was seen later chatting up Kayden Carter & Katana Chance, prompting Pearce to confront him and Nick to take his leave of Raw.

All of this presumably is to set up conflict heading into Survivor Series next month, which could mean that the return of Raw versus SmackDown is imminent. Hopefully, this isn’t the case, because that branding never really worked.

Either way, bickering GMs is a tired, awful trope, so seeing it again just doesn’t sit well at all.
