Ah yes, the WWE invisible camera trope combined with the stacking of superstars in a single promo trope. This company really went for it all in dusting off their hackneyed playbook on Monday night.

Fans caught up with Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark chatting in the locker room, with the Queen of Spades admitting that Zoey is on a roll and has a chance to dethrone Rhea Ripley. But the mutual respect would then extend outward with Raquel Rodriguez interjecting and wishing Zoey good luck before panning out again to reveal Nia Jax scoffing. Because that’s how things happen in real life – two people talk, and then other people step in from just offscreen, somehow unseen by everyone else, and interject one at a time.

As the scene unfolded, Nia and Raquel bickered, while Zoey – the new number one challenger – just stood in the background. In case you needed to be reminded of who is the real threats to Rhea’s title and who is the challenger of the month.
