When you throw three heavy-hitters in the ring together, odds are you’re going to have a banger of a match.

That’s exactly what we got from Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus as the three battled for the United States Championship. The trio hit each other with everything in their arsenals in a PPV-quality contest. Unlike what you’d expect though, Priest didn’t retain his title by pinning Sheamus once again.

Yep, the US champ actually hit McIntyre with the Reckoning and pinned the former WWE Champion, which shows how highly WWE values Priest right now. It’s a hell of an endorsement, complete with Drew shaking his hand afterwards.

Despite everything WWE has screwed up of late, they’ve managed to make Priest into a budding star. Let’s hope they can avoid the temptation to mess it up.
