4 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (2 Aug)

Nia Jax suffered what looked like a nasty cut while wrestling Rhea Ripley last night. Here's hoping that she is okay and won't have to miss any time, but the crimson coating one side of her face made for a gnarly visual.

This was a basic match, with Jax playing hoss for the bulk of it and Rhea working from beneath. Nia's biggest bomb was a Samoan drop into the barricade, with Ripley kicking out of her leg drop before the most reliable finisher in WWE, the distraction roll-up, sealed the deal for the former Raw Women's Champion.

Shayna Baszler hopping onto the apron backfired when Ripley dodged Jax's charge, skipped behind, and rolled her up. That was the three. Afterwards, Baszler and Jax argued and with the crowd firmly behind her, Shayna teased swinging at her tag partner before eventually bailing.

Then Ripley, the supposed alpha babyface of the division, hit the ring and gutlessly gave the still-bleeding Nia the Riptide anyway.

Again, there is nobody to root for in this division.
