4 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (Oct 18)

2. Just A Punchable Face

As mismanaged as Karron Kross’ (remember him?) debut was (stripping him of his intimidating entrance and valet, losing two of his first four matches on the main roster), it looks like WWE is getting it right with Austin Theory so far.

The newcomer’s return to the Raw roster has been punctuated by two victories over Jeff Hardy, including Monday’s W, which he came by a bit more honestly, nailing his ATL finisher after tripping Jeff up as he went for a Swanton Bomb.

Then, just to really rub it in, Theory grabbed his cell phone and posed for another selfie with a fallen Hardy. It really is a perfect d*ck move for a heel, taking a selfie with a defeated opponent. However, he gloated too long and Jeff recovered, hit a Twist of Fate, and took his own selfie with Austin.

Some might think that comeuppance detracted from the win, but really, it just furthers the idea that Theory has a really punchable face, and if he keeps doing jerky things like this, occasionally he’s going to get socked. Just keep winning and moving in the right direction.
