4 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 27)

2. Pulling Out All The Stops

It’s OK if you weren’t expecting much from the Street Profits/Mysterios tag match for a Raw Tag Team Championship match. The mini-RK-Bro-nament had been paused for a couple weeks, so this really faded in memory.

But the two teams put together a nice little match, with a hot ending that saw Rey and Dominik unable to put the bout away, even after a 619/Frogsplash combo. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins were able to isolate Dominik and put him away with a super-blockbuster, giving them a title match at Day 1.

It really is funny how the match wasn’t super intense or some epic battle, but they hit all the right notes to make this work with the audience, and that made all the difference.
