4 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 27)

6. Bait-And-Switch Times Two

It’s bad enough that WWE plugged a match between AJ Styles and Omos last week as their tag team finally disintegrated… and then not deliver.

But when Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez interrupted and the larger Azeez challenged AJ, it looked like Styles would get to practice battling a giant while his opponent wasn’t available.

However, when we returned from commercial, we learned that Apollo had convinced his commander to let him take the match (which led to a more entertaining bout), meaning we had an advertised match scrubbed and replaced with an on-the-fly challenge, which was in turn replaced during a commercial break.

Man, when they say, “card subject to change,” they really mean it.
