4 Ups And 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Oct 11)

2. The Women's Division Stays Wild

Carmella was in action against Naomi, but first, we were treated to a clip from earlier in the day. Nikki Bella was being interviewed about her win over Carmella at No Mercy and the debut of Total Bellas, but she was interrupted when "The Princess of Staten Island" attacked her, laying her out.

The match itself was good. Naomi is always a strong, underrated competitor, and Carmella actually looked pretty decent. It would have been foolish to squander the momentum Naomi has after beating Alexa Bliss at No Mercy, so instead, Bella came down to the ring to try and attack Carmella, and in the commotion, Naomi rolled her up for the pin. After the match, Bella chased Carmella off.

Backstage, Daniel Bryan booked a Naomi-Bliss rematch for next week, which also makes sense - Bliss is still scheduled to challenge for the Smackdown Women's Title when Becky gets back, so short of Naomi getting the shot instead, Bliss defeating her is the most sensible course of action.
