4 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Oct 21)

1. James Storm Debuts TNA-stalwart James Storm has, after 13 long years with that company, finally jumped ship to WWE, and last night marked his first official match in NXT. Like Samoa Joe before him, Storm has been allowed to keep his established ring name and the names of his signature moves. Of course, the announcers managed to get over his beer-swilling cowboy character without ever explicitly mentioned TNA by name, but no surprises there. The 6-time TNA Tag Team champ, 1-time TNA World Heavyweight champ and two time TNA Beer-Drinking Champ (!) made fairly quick work of poor Danny Burch, slamming him with Eight Second Ride, before yelling to his fallen opponent his familiar phrase "SORRY ABOUT YOUR DAMN LUCK". Perhaps the most enjoyable part of Storm's debut was (despite everyone at home knowing it was coming) seeing the shock on the faces of the NXT crowd. There had been no prior advertising of Storm at that NXT taping and watching certain members of the audience flipping all the way out was hilarious. Once again, NXT has added another established legend to an already white-hot roster.
