4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 27)

3. A Tightly Coiled Viper

Maybe it€™s coming a little sooner than originally planned, but there€™s seemingly a groundswell building for Randy Orton to rebel against the Authority, so fans might be getting it very soon. (Memo to John Cena: This is how you rage against the machine.) Orton openly lashed out against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon for not handling business (read: Seth Rollins) and took matters into his own hands, snapping off an RKO on Rollins before anyone could react. The look of frustration from Triple H alone sold it, but he and Stephanie talking up Rollins as the future and the standard-bearer of WWE and the Authority set everything up perfectly. Orton barely has to change his character at this point. His fired-up promo, where he referenced the anger management classes he took eight years ago, channeled an energy fans haven€™t seen in a while. http://youtu.be/MPtrGv-m8q4?list=PLF0CB8E7B4C77DB61 When Orton completely turns his back on the Authority, he€™s going to get an insane reaction. It€™s just a question of how soon that will come €“ perhaps he€™ll join Team Cena against Team Authority at Survivor Series.
