4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Apr 23)

3. Kingston Beating Cesaro Felt Very Rushed

It's a shame that WWE is not giving more attention to the Tag Team Title feud. They should be on the main PPV card, but they are relegated to the Kickoff Show like they were at WrestleMania. Perhaps it doesn't matter because everything is on WWE Network anyway. Prior to the match, The New Day did a promo as a way to upset the fans and of course it worked because the crowd was ready to chant "New Day...sucks" at them. It's become a really catchy chant too. What was disappointing was that Kingston's match with Cesaro was done within about two minutes. They were hitting big spots so quickly with Tyson Kidd getting attacked by Big E and Xavier Woods outside the ring. Cesaro was distracted by that, so Kingston nailed him with Trouble in Paradise for the win. At least the positive thing out of this is that The New Day are embracing their role as heels by cheating to win. It would have been nice if it was a longer match, though. If you're wondering, Cesaro didn't work like a face too much. It was just a regular match that was rushed. At Extreme Rules, look or Kidd and Cesaro to be more of a face team.
