4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (May 21)
1. Show Opening Promo Is Too Repetitive Even With Good Performers
The first 15 minutes of Smackdown were like the same boring 15 minute opening segments that starts pretty much every week of Raw and Smackdown. Roman Reigns did a promo saying he wanted to be in the Money in the Bank match. Dean Ambrose said he won't be in that match since he'll be WWE Champion. Kane showed up to say that Reigns won't be in Money in the Bank since Reigns lost at WrestleMania and Payback. When Kane told Reigns that he had the night off, it was another way of saying that Reigns would be back in the main event. They might as well advertise him for the main event to get people to tune in. What's so wrong with starting the show with a match? This formula is so old. Please think of something else, WWE. It's not that hard to change things up a bit.
