4 Ups And 4 Downs From NXT In Your House 2022

3. Toxic Dominance

At what point can we pull the plug on Toxic Attraction as the central focus of the women’s division?

True, NXT is not a “wrestling” show, but watching these three women flail about is not giving you a good gut feeling about the future of women’s wrestling in WWE. (However, the Breakout Tournament finals with Tiffany Stratton and Roxanne Perez does give a glimmer of hope.) It just shows that the focus is on looks first, second and third, and in-ring performance 10th.

And it’s not like the characters are even that good. They’re a bad send-up of Mean Girls’ Plastics, just in skimpier gear. The tag title match in particular was bad, with Kayden Carter & Katana Chance having to try to carry things and not pulling it off.

Sure, there were a couple nice sequences, but this was a snoozer, and since Toxic Attraction retained the titles, it means we’re going to get more of this. Yay us.
