At Extreme Rules, Drew McIntyre single-handedly kept Dolph Ziggler in his Intercontinental Championship Iron Man match, with the Scotsman even providing a distraction during overtime to ensure that Ziggler kept the title.

However, Dolph didn’t return the favor to McIntyre Monday night, when Drew battled Finn Balor and Roman Reigns for a shot at a Universal Championship match at SummerSlam. Being a triple threat match, there were no disqualifications, which meant that Ziggler could have interfered at will to ensure that McIntyre advanced.

But Ziggler was nowhere to be seen. McIntyre came up short, being dumped outside before Reigns pinned Balor to move on. Minutes later, we saw Dolph backstage having his title polished. Some friend he turned out to be.
