4 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Nov 23)
4. Kay Lee Ray Costs Mandy Against Cora
Before Mandy Rose could get her hands on Cora Jade later on in the night, the NXT Women's Champion and the rest of Toxic Attraction made their way into the arena, alongside Dakota Kai seemingly swatting away invisible flies, all while poking fun at what appeared to be someone's makeshift "rage room" in the back. Said area belonged to Kay Lee Ray, as it goes, and she apparently doesn't appreciate people mocking her for smashing bins backstage with a baseball bat. They have a point, though. Bit weird.
Fast forward to the bout itself and just as Mandy was looking to squeeze another W out of the pluckiest underdog in the division, the former NXT UK Women's Champion popped up, bat in hand, before throwing her weapon at the ref mid-bout. This distraction ultimately landed Rose in Jade's go-to finisher, that being a sudden roll-up, with the babyface WarGames combatant picking up another "shocking" win to add to her collection.
In isolation, Jade's upset is another rousing moment for a youngster slowly getting over with those in attendance. But Lee Ray getting involved simply because she was a bit p*ssed at her backstage rage being the butt of the joke felt like a weak development. Though adding the Scot into said WarGames bout did at least add an extra slice of carnage to proceedings, so it's not all bad news.
