Last week’s segment involving Becky Lynch and Lita did a tremendous job selling their upcoming Elimination Chamber match for the Raw Women’s Championship, so much so that you had to worry that there was nowhere for them to go but down on Monday night.

Thankfully, they kept the contract signing shenanigans to a minimum, with a muted and almost despondent Becks looking lost and begging Lita not to go forward with the match. She said she hadn’t slept for a week because her teenage idol was coming for her title this close to WrestleMania and had attacked her. She asked Lita to leave while her legacy was still intact, because she’d do anything to keep her title.

Lita called her out on the BS, saying Lynch is scared because she knows the daredevil can put her down, and she’s got enough in the tank left for one championship run. Becky countered that she wouldn’t hesitate to go for Lita’s weaknesses, like her neck.

And that was it. It was short, without extraneous talking, or a fight, or a table getting involved. They just needed to land the plane, which they did successfully. Bravo.
