Downs…

8. Toga Party Busted

There was some serious potential when they announced an RK-Bro-ga party last week. Who would show up in a toga? What hijinks would ensue?

Despite Riddle asking Bobby Lashley and others to join the party, the only superstars who really showed up were Apollo Crews, Commander Azeez, Queen Zelina, Carmella and the Street Profits. We got a couple uninspired segments backstage (complete with Riddle ripping off Animal House in a 44-year-old reference, putting it right in Vince McMahon’s idea of the current zeitgeist) before Alpha Academy broke it up and laid Riddle out.

Aside from seeing Zelina in a toga, there was nothing redeeming about the segments, and the RK-Bro-ga party fell flat. We didn’t get Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar or anyone interesting in a toga, and nothing really of note happened. It was hyped up and was one of only a couple things announced ahead of time, so this is the best they could come up with after a week of planning.

And that’s what makes this even more lame.
