4 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Feb 5)

3. Dolph Ziggler As Ryback's Little Buddy

It appears that Dolph Ziggler is now a tag team wrestler with Ryback. The two have become buddies because they were on Team Cena at Survivor Series, then fired, then brought back and now that creative apparently has nothing for them in singles, they are a team. While Ziggler was trying his best to make it work with his "Lil Guy" belt to match Ryback's "Big Guy" belt, it's disappointing to see Ziggler in a tag team. The guy had so much momentum a couple of months ago. Now he's in a team? It just doesn't feel like the right direction for him. There are rumors that Ziggler is going to face Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania although the fact that he's teaming with Ryback now might mean that he's set for some tag team feud soon. They can try to make it work all they want, but Ziggler should be a main eventer or close to it right about now. It's a shame that he's still stuck in the midcard. On the plus side, the Stardust split with Goldust was furthered during this match. Those two deserve a singles match at WrestleMania with Goldust retiring after it's over and for Cody Rhodes to return while Stardust goes away for a long time.
