4 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Jan 29)

DOWNS...

4. Dean Ambrose Has Become The Forgotten Man

It is fair to say that Dean Ambrose had as much momentum as any babyface wrestler in the last three months of 2014. As we sit here in early 2015 it feels as though he has become the forgotten. It's a shame because the crowd loves the guy, he's a great talker and above average in-ring performer too. Instead of thriving, he's barely visible. As we sit here two months away from WrestleMania, Ambrose isn't rumored to be in one of the top six matches at the biggest show of the year. We have no idea what he might do there. Being in the battle royal sure doesn't seem like enough for him. For whatever reason, WWE isn't using the "Lunatic Fringe" the right way. They need to realize that and give him a more featured role going forward. Bray Wyatt also played a very minor role in the show, but at last he got to do a promo with his rambling. Ambrose got nothing. Ambrose did wrestle in the dark match for the fans in attendance. However, leaving him off the show was a mistake.
