4 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Jan 29)

2. Seth Rollins Has Several Feuds Going Right Now

Life is good for Seth Rollins right now. He's coming off the best match of his WWE career at Sunday's Royal Rumble when he came very close to winning the WWE Title. Despite the loss, he's still holding the Money in the Bank briefcase, which guarantees him a WWE Title shot whenever he wants it. Rollins was very confident on Smackdown. He dared anybody to come out to challenge him. Perhaps some people expected Randy Orton to return, but not here. It was Ryback. The match never happened because Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury attacked Ryback. The save for Ryback was made by Erick Rowan and then Dolph Ziggler. Rollins was able to escape without getting beat up. It felt like this was done to set up a tag match. Perhaps on Raw. The reason this segment should be considered a positive thing is because it doesn't look like Rollins was hurt by the Rumble loss. If anything, he's a bigger star for being able to compete with the likes of Lesnar and Cena in the main event. There are a lot of things in WWE right now that frustrate the fans, but the position of Rollins shouldn't be one of those things. He's one of the biggest bright spots in the company. Look for Randy Orton to return possibly as soon as this Monday for him to go right after Rollins. That rivalry will heat up for the next two months.
