1. IC Champ Jobs Again
Congratulations on that fifth reign as Intercontinental Champion, Bad News Barrett. Youre in elite company with Rob Van Dam, Edge, Chris Jericho, Jeff Jarrett and Triple H. Your reward? You get to lose to Sin Cara in less than three minutes. This has gone from a bad joke to a nightmare. Imagine if Brock Lesnar came out and lost three straight non-title matches, then won a title defense. Are we supposed to view him as a monster, or even a strong champion because he defended his title? Of course not. But WWE seems to insist on taking its Intercontinental champions and jobbing them out in non-title situations repeatedly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0f6z-oGR90 All this does is weaken the champ, devalue the title and maintain a nonsensical 50-50 style of booking that ensures that fans dont get invested in anyone except for John Cena, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. Sure, an upset win is going to happen from time to time. Unless the champs gimmick is that they never lose (see Lesnar and Rusev), they should get pinned once in a while. But four days after winning a title? WWE has to be trolling fans, right?
