4 Ups And Downs From WWE Survivor Series 2014

DOWNS...

4. The Bunny. On A PPV.

That€™s not a misprint. That€™s a tragedy. The Bunny wrestled €“ and won €“ a match on one of WWE€™s signature PPVs. There€™s no analysis about the match, the stupid angle with Adam Rose or speculation about who might be under the costume €“ save to note that the longer this goes on, any €œreveal€ is going to get panned by the fans, who are rapidly becoming more venomous toward this angle. You could hear the fans chanting, €œNo! No! No!€ when they made the tag match during the vignette. Let€™s lay this out there again: Survivor Series was free this year to rope in fans who already don€™t subscribe to the WWE Network. So if a lapsed fan who hasn€™t tuned in for a decade decided to watch Survivor Series, they saw a guy in a bunny costume hopping around, competing in a match while the announcers laughed and made bad jokes. And they€™d plunk down $9.99 why? This is the question that has to be asked over and over again, because if WWE is a business trying to get people to subscribe to the Network, why would they insist on continuing to put something on the air that gets soundly booed like this? It might make 8-year-olds laugh, but it insults the intelligence of the casual or lapsed fan WWE is trying to court. And that€™s not best for business.
