With Cena resentment at fever pitch in the summer of 2006, WWE made the very brave decision to book him in the main event of ECW's One Night Stand show. It resulted in one of the most unbelievable atmospheres of all time, making for a really special match with Rob Van Dam. Cena was actually toilet papered by the crowd when he first entered the ring. When he then went to throw his shirt to the crowd, it was repeatedly thrown back. That was amazing to see. Cena hating had reached a whole new level, and he was smart enough to run with it. To top it all off, he put Van Dam over as the new WWE / ECW Champion!
