At the end of 2012, Cena became embroiled in a love affair with AJ Lee. In retrospect, it is kind of awkward, given how AJ and Cena's real life girlfriend Nikki Bella absolutely hated each other towards the end of Lee's run. It must drive Nikki a little bit mad knowing that Cena's lips have been locked with her real life nemesis. But it wasn't just Lee that Cena was booked with as a love interest over the years. He infamously had a brief on-screen relationship with Mickie James, in which he kissed her and teased things like having her panties. But what's really notable about that relationship, is that it was reportedly real. They had a thing, and when Cena broke up with her, she went a little craze and ended up being moved to Smackdown.
