Did you hate the main event of WrestleMania 25?

There's a good chance you aren't alone. While it's an effective resource, Cagematch isn't perfect. As with everything else, it has been corrupted by tribalism. Recency bias is a good thing - what can possibly be bad about really enjoying yourself? - but that, too, can warp the consensus of how good or bad something actually is. The rating of certain matches and shows does however eventually settle down to "OK, fair enough" territory after a while. A decade and a half later, based on a small sample of 113, Triple H Vs. Randy Orton currently sits at a paltry 3.6/10.

Was one of those voting "inmates" Randy Orton himself?

Because he didn't like the match either.

In an interview with The Sun conducted a month after the show, Orton articulated the same complaints you likely hold yourself: he felt that the Triple H loses the title in event of disqualification stip was stupidly prohibitive, made for slow, one-dimensional action, and betrayed the promise, set by some unhinged preceding television, of an all-out violent war.
