As of writing, WrestleMania has yet to occur, and following the ultra-divisive conclusion ot WrestleMania 39, the fascinating fact could and should simply be that Cody Rhodes actually managed to become WWE Champion. Instead of that though, the locale can be mined for a stat - most notably that the return to Philadelphia marks the longest gap left between WWE's first visit to a city and the second.

New York had shows decades apart between the 80s, 90s and 00s, and Detroit had to wait 20 years for WrestleMania to be "All Grown Up" enough to return, and there was an 18-year gap between WrestleMania going Hollywood for the 21st and 39th editions, but nothing touches Philadelphia's wait.

A quarter of a century passed by between Vince Russo's angle-heavy WrestleMania XV and Triple H's story-driven XL supershow. 'The Game' turned heel in 1999. Can he atone and finally crown the top babyface once and for all?

It'd be yet another nice story to finish.
