5 AEW Stars Who Could Dethrone Jade Cargill As TBS Champion

4. Toni Storm

What a difference a year makes...

Upon making her company debut on the March 30 episode of AEW Dynamite in the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament, Toni Storm was immediately made a major player in the burgeoning AEW women's division.

Storm would of course lose in the tournament's semi-final to Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., though June's Road Rager special saw the New Zealander get her win back over the Role Model.

In beating Baker, Toni earned herself a shot at Thunder Rosa's Women's World Title at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. That match did not go Storm's way, but it did play a part in the formation of what is nowadays known as ThunderStorm - as in, the tag team pairing of Toni Storm and Thunder Rosa.

Since then, the one-time NXT UK Women's Champion has managed to earn herself another crack at La Mera Mera's prize at the upcoming All Out PPV. Regardless of the result of the Storm vs. Rosa rematch, Toni has certainly thrown herself in the mix at the top of the card in AEW's women's division.

Should you come up short against Rosa, the 26-year-old could easily become a viable challenger for the undefeated TBS Champion, Jade Cargill.
