5 Best & 5 Worst Moments From WWE Raw's 3 Hour Era

5. WORST: Tater Tots

Roman Reigns
WWE

There are countless examples from the past three years where Roman Reigns was scripted and booked to talk and act so impossibly annoying that it's amazing the company weren't aiming for polarisation from the very beginning.

The nadir of his microphone missteps came not as he and The Rock tried desperately to explain away the torrent of rage following his Royal Rumble 2015 victory, but in this inexcusably poor takedown of comedy as a genre as he prepared to tackle Sheamus for the WWE Title at December 2015's TLC pay-per-view.

Apparently no longer incensed by Sheamus' robbery of his prize at the culmination of Survivor Series' one-night tournament, Roman instead referred to the Irish star's genitals as 'tater tots', in contrast to the 'potatoes' he thought all Irishmen had. Over and over and over and over again.

It was attempt to goad Sheamus to fight him of course, which partially worked as Raw carried on with the usual beats, but the promo itself was an utterly tortuous watch. Reigns smirking and chuckling at his own joke was excruciating, and the fans in attendance patently couldn't care less for champion nor challenger. As a star-making segment, it diabolically failed both men.
