AEW prides itself on its booming and densely populated tag team division, guided by huge names such as FTR, Young Bucks and the Lucha Bros. However, much further down the ladder you find names such as the team in question, The Initiative.
Initially starting out as individual competitors who couldn’t stop losing, Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler reluctantly formed a dysfunctional tag team, where they continue to keep losing. Along with ringside manager Leva Bates, Cutler and Avalon have taken on several big names in AEW’s tag team division such as the previously mentioned Young Bucks. However, they have now lost 11 straight matches as a team, the latest of which coming at the hands of Serpentico and Luther.
But as the team slowly starts getting on the same page, they edge closer and closer to that elusive first victory. With potential for a big upset victory on the cards in the future, the storyline possibilities for The Initiative are looking good, even if their win/loss record isn't.
