5 Best Finishers In WWE Today (And 5 Worst)
5. Worst - King's Landing
When Seth Rollins inherited the Pedigree from Triple H during his dastardly run with The Authority, he was gifted one of the most protected and established finishing moves of the modern era. It instantly gave him credibility and a believable bookend to any match.
Before the Pedigree, Rollins possessed one of the most devastating and popular finishers in the entire company, the Curb Stomp. Due to a number of concussion lawsuits being filed against WWE at the time, the company banned the move for fear of bad publicity.
When WWE pulled the trigger on turning Rollins face following his feud with Triple H, it was obvious that he needed something that was solely his own and fit his unique style. The King's Landing is a spinning, whipping high knee that showcases Seth's agility.
Despite being a very fluid move that's often delivered seamlessly, it has no real sizzle or steak (to paraphrase good ol' JR). Often criticized for being too similar to Triple H's Knee Smash or Kenny Omega's Rain Trigger, King's Landing screams signature move at best.
Named with a nod and wink to Game of Thrones, the move is still in its infancy but has a long way to go before being seen as a great finishing move.
