5 Biggest Missed Opportunities From WWE WrestleMania 36

1. A Match Unworthy Of The Moment

Since when did Brock Lesnar become Goldberg?

No, that's not some kind of exaggerated rhetorical question, it's a legitimate one. 'The Beast' has become such a caricature of the Conqueror that he once was that all his matches tend to consist of these days are German Suplexes, F-5s and whatever his opponent's finishing move is.

Writing that down, this writer now realises that he should have seen it coming at WrestleMania, but forgive me for hoping that WWE knew better than to produce a pitiful finisher-fest when the pair might have been able to pull off a halfway decent brawl that would have allowed McIntyre to either assert a more convincing brand of dominance or stage a more convincing comeback.

What we got was fine. The right person won and it flowed a heck of a lot better than the Universal Championship match, but it still felt like a completely wasted opportunity.

It shouldn't have gotten to the stage where we're expecting the main event matches to be the worst of the night... and yet here we are.

Drew's big moment - like Braun's - deserved better.
