5 Biggest Winners & Losers From WWE Clash Of Champions 2016

1. Winners: Stephanie McMahon & Triple H

On a night largely defined by shenanigans and hi-jinx, nobody profited more than Raw's resident power couple.

Many anticipated that Triple H would have an impact on the Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins main event. It was he, after all, that had double-crossed Seth to allow Owens to become Universal Champion in the first place, but The Game's interference never materialised.

Instead, it was Stephanie who influenced the main event. Though her actions weren't as decisive as Chris Jericho's, her trotting-out with a fresh referee gave Owens the opening he needed to Powerbomb Rollins for the victory. The outcome leaves Stephanie and Hunter's relationship with Rollins dead in the water, and ensures that their chosen champion will carry the Universal Title into Raw tonight.

A post-PPV video exclusive told the whole story. Triple H met Stephanie in the parking lot after the show had concluded, and they were all smiles as they left together. Everything had gone according to plan, and while Stephanie had initially feigned ignorance towards The Game's initial turn on Seth, this all but confirms their collusion.

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H are in firm control of Raw. Worryingly, this appears to set the stage for the Authority reunion that nobody wants
