5 Brother Vs Brother Wrestling Matches That Ruled (And 5 That Sucked)
5 That Ruled...
5. Bret Hart Vs. Owen Hart - Cage Match For WWF Title (SummerSlam 1994)
The WWF was at a creative low in 1994, a year which featured such nonsense as the Undertaker versus Fake Undertaker storyline and Kevin Nash as WWF Champion. In between all of the suck, the Federation did still manage to squeeze in the odd good match here and there. A lot of those matches inevitably featured Shawn Michaels, Owen and Bret Hart. After Owen fiendishly kicked brother Bret's leg out of his, erm, leg the two siblings started a red-hot feud that lasted for several months and boasted a host a great matches. One of the best matches from the feud was their fantastic cage match at SummerSlam 1994. While their other matches were technical masterclasses, this one was full of the hate that you would expect in a major cage match with the WWF Championship on the line. The match had a great psychology, with Owen making frequent lunges for the cage door only for Bret to cling on and prevent him for doing so. There were also the requisite big bumps and moves that modern fans demand, including a huge superplex from the top of the cage by Bret to Owen.
