5 Burning Issues For WWE Raw Tonight (Oct 23)

The Raw General Manager really was a sexy Kurt making ankles hurt in his explosive and unexpected return to action.

Cosplaying as Roman Reigns wasn't obviously ever the intended way to soft-launch an Angle return, but the Olympic Gold Medalist sported the flack jacket admirably and turned in a laudable display against The Miz, The Bar, Kane and Braun Strowman.

His late-in-the-game babyface return was perhaps the highlight of the whole show. Wiping the ramp with the former tag team champions, he hauled Sheamus over with an Angle Slam then powered Cesaro through a table with one seconds later. His searing stare at The Miz spelled doom for the 'A-Lister' and his last remaining ally Kane, with Kurt even scoring the winning fall following a...sigh...'Olympic Shield Bomb'.

But despite the behaviour of literally every authority figure ever in wrestling, Angle now magically can't play favourites again. It's back to the thankless task of running Raw tonight, with perhaps more than a little aggro from some of his employees he had no problem beating within an inch of their lives just 24 hours earlier.

With Raw presumably about to ready itself for battle against SmackDown Live! at the Survivor Series, could Kurt be facing a mutiny when he needs it least?
